Kindred Spirits Animal Clinic is an independently owned and operated small animal veterinary hospital located in Orlando Florida. We operate with the philosophy that high quality, not high volume medicine will keep both our patients and our practice healthy. We are a small clinic, which allows us the flexibility to give each patient personalized care tailored to best meet their needs as well as those of their human families.
Our focus is on not only helping pets live longer, but on ensuring that the life you and your pet share are both happy and fulfilling. We do this by addressing more than just illness and vaccines but providing wellness and preventative care, alternative treatment options, nutritional and behavioral advice, and always keeping in mind that the well being of our patients and their families is our primary goal.
Despite our size we stay on the cutting edge of new medical therapy and technology. We offer a wide variety of on site diagnostic and treatment options including a full in house lab, laser surgery, x-rays and ultrasound, dentistry and K-laser therapeutic treatments.

Dr Josh Kindred is the owner and medical director of Kindred Spirits Animal Clinic. He grew up not far away in DeLand FL where his parent both worked as professors at Stetson University. He was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Stetson University in 1994 and went on to attend the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in Gainesville.

After graduating vet school in May of 2000 he moved to Atlanta and worked as an associate veterinarian at a busy 8 doctor practice. He spent several years there gaining experience until he decided in 2004 to look for a practice that allowed a more personal and consistent doctor-patient relationship.
Dr Kindred has owned and operated Kindred Spirits Animal Clinic since September, 2004. He says that he is “very happy” with his decisions to become a practice owner and couldn’t imagine working anywhere else.
Dr Kindred's wife Stephanie Badge, another graduate of University of Florida’s Veterinary School practices canine rehabilitation at Florida Veterinary Rehabilitation in DeLand FL. “We have a great relationship and it has been an enormous benefit for both of us in term of practicing quality medicine. We talk about cases all the time and her input often proves invaluable.” The Kindred’s family is always expanding. They have 2 beautiful children Harper and Miles and have recently added 2 rambunctious young dogs Bruno and Jack to the family.
